Nieves Torrecilla
Nieves Torrecilla translates to literally mean snow white bull and her surname is also the name of the town where she lives. She wants to work as a pharmacist for the elderly and to study English when she returns to Spain. She likes England because of the diversity here and wants to travel more.
In her spare time she performs with a theatre group called Tecu; she also enjoys walking, bicycling and tennis (although she claims she is no good).

Jose-Luis Saez
Jose-Luis is now retired and spends his time helping on volunteer projects, such as this one. He also supports his local University Popular, Logroño in Spain (www.universidadpopular.es), where he is in charge of student finances and also teaches undergraduates.
He really enjoys the mix of cultures in England and meeting new people and has visited here before.
Fitness is important to him, he likes to spend his free time bicycling covering over fifty kilometres with friends on road and off. Another of his hobbies is Paddle a game similar to tennis but much faster. He also goes scuba diving at the weekend.
Miguel Gallo
Miguel is visiting England for the first time and is enjoying studying the language although he claims that age is making it hard study. He says that the moods of people in England are different to the moods of people in Spain. He is an optimist and works with young people.
His hobbies are swimming and diving but problems with his legs mean that he cannot pole vault anymore, which was his favourite sport. He loves classical music and reading books in English, most recently completing Dostoyevsky's 'Crime and Punishment'.
